Rylee and Avery - Golden Week

Every time we pass these posters we think of our two favorite dogs, Mozart and Sasha. We miss them!!

During Golden week Chris enjoyed taking Rylee to the bus stop. It was a treat for them both!

This is our neighbors car, it's just Avery's size.

Mashiko - April 2009

Chris and I shared an afternoon in Mashiko, pottery town. During Golden Week the town has a huge sale. It was a lot of fun!

We enjoyed a lovely lunch in a Japanese garden.

We visited an indigo dye factory. It was very interesting. Some of the patterns dated back over a hundred years.

Igashira Park - April 2009

We enjoyed an afternoon at Igashira Park. This lovely park is only 25 minutes from our house. It was a beautiful day!

We fed the fish, jumped rocks in the creek, explored the botanical garden, and enjoyed the water fountain. Japan truly has some of the most beautiful parks!

Yochien Field Trip - May 2009

Rylee's school took a field trip to Rindou Lake and Family Farm Park.
We had a great time! We shared most of the day with her friends, Aimie-chan and Kensho-kun.

She fished for the first time with a real hook and bait. She caught five koi.

We took a train ride around the park. Rylee and Aimie-chan enjoyed a sucker on the ride.

It was a beautiful park, very wooded with a lovely lake.

Rylee took her first pony ride. She was very brave.

After she conquered riding the pony she wanted to brave the big blow-up slide. She loved it!

Playing at the play ground. What an awesome park!

Rylee riding a panda car. These cars were all over the park. You just put money in and drive it until it stops. When done you just leave it where is stopped and the next passer-by can take a ride. Very fun!
