Apple Picking - October 2009

We shared a fun morning with our friends at the apple orchard!

Gabriel and Ieri walking to the orchard, so cute!

Avery loves baby Miya!

This is our play group, we try to meet at least every other week and the kids really enjoy playing with each other.
(Sara, Alex, Ieri, Avery, Rylee, Origa, Hana, Miya, and Gabriel is missing from this picture)

Origa, Hana, and Rylee attend Kinugawadai Yochien together. Origa and Hana are in the grade above Rylee.

After apple picking we went to a park for a picnic.

Rylee helping bake an apple pie with our fresh apples.....oishi!

Rylee and Avery - October 2009

Rylee and Avery with their friend Sara. They love to play dress-up!

Alex was feeling left out, I have no boy dress-up clothes.

Posing for the camera.....what a ham!

Avery just can't quite get her fingers right for her age, Rylee was trying to show her how.

Sue and Brian visit Japan - October 2009

Our friends Brian and Sue came to visit us in Japan. We took them to Mashiko and Nikko to see the sights. We had fun together!

Avery loves the tanuki!

We took Brian and Sue to an okonomiyaki restaurant.....oishi!

Oozasa Farm - October 2009

We drove to the Nikko Mountains to visit Oozasa Farm with several of our friends. It was a beautiful drive, the leaves were just starting to change.

Hana and Gabrial with Avery and Rylee. Hana and Gabriel are also from Ohio and are living in Japan for 3 years. They both attend the same Yochien as Rylee. Gabriel is in Rylee's class and Hana is in the class above her. They are great friends!

Alex and Sara with Avery on the slide. Alex and Sara are two year old twins and Avery's best friends. They will be living in Japan for 2 1/2 years. We are so blessed with such a great group of people to share our Japan experience with.

Wide open spaces are hard to find in Japan. It was fun to see the kids run free, they loved every minute of it!

Avery is getting so big and brave, I think a lot of that comes from just trying to keep up with big sis.

A day on the farm would not be complete without some fresh ice cream!
