On December, 6 2009 Kinugawadai Youchien held their annual drama day event.
This is the Tulip Class - 3 year old class, reciting a poem.
We enjoyed listening to each class, Tulip class, Rose class and the Kindergarten class recite a poem, sang songs and play instruments.
The Tulip class then performed "The Three Little Pigs" (Son-biki no Ko-buta). Each character was paired in two, one shy child with one out-going child. This is the Mother of the three little pigs wishing them well as they leave to build their own houses.
These are the three little pigs. They all did so good performing. And the stage set-up was very impressive. The teachers and staff really worked hard to pull this all together.

The wolf has now blown down their straw house and the stick house....oh no!
The play ends with the wolf, pigs and mother of the pigs all becoming friends and playing together. So sweet!

My porcelain painting class and teacher shared a holiday lunch the week before Christmas. It is a great group of ladies and we had a lot of fun!

This December our family has been hit will all kinds of sickness. Rylee with a nasty cough she can't get rid of, Avery with impetigo and the flu, and Chris with tonsillitis. Amazingly I have stayed relatively healthy and thank goodness! But, due to all this sickness we had to cancel our holiday travel plans. We had planed a fun filled trip to Nagasaki which is located on the southern island of Japan, Kyushu. Now instead we will stay home this Christmas and enjoy the sights around Utsunomiya and helpfully get plenty of rest for good health!

I have been taking porcelain painting classes for the last couple of months and have really been enjoying it. My teacher Yoko-san is also licensed in floral arranging. She offered to teach us how to make Christmas wreaths for the holidays. It was a lot of fun!
